The family is requesting visiting hours to be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 8 a.m. to the time of the service. Interment will be in the Calvery Cemetery.
Norman J. Roy died Monday at home June 30, 2024. Born Jan. 22, 1943, in Jennings, La.
He spent his formative years in Lafayette, La., graduating from Lafayette High then attending USL before joining the Army, serving in the Vietnam War which he was very proud.
Mr. Roy retired from Louisiana State Police Troop D Commander in Lake Charles, La.
He was a member of Louisiana State Troopers Association and American Legion.
He was an avid golfer until his health declined.
He was married to Linda Roy for 56 years.
Survived by his wife, Linda Roy; one sister, Linda Quebodeaux of Moss Bluff, La., as well as, several nephews and nieces.
Norman is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Roy; his mother, Lena St. Ores; his stepfather, John St. Ores Sr, and half-brother, John St. Ores Jr.
