Gerald  “Jerry” James Pelloquin

Gerald “Jerry” James Pelloquin, 74, passed away, June 29, 2024, at a local hospice facility.  Jerry was born on Jan. 8, 1950, to Norris and Nora Pelloqiun.  

Jerry proudly served in the United States Navy from 1968 through 1974, as an aviation electrician.  He worked for AT&T for 35 years, where he was known as “the telephone man” for West Calcasieu Parish.  In 1972, he married the love of his life Joy Ann Pelloquin.  They enjoyed the next 47 years together, he called her “His Little Bride” and he was proud to have her by his side.  They loved Harley Davidsons and riding together with friends.  They loved to go camping and meeting up with friends.  You would often see Jerry riding his cart around the neighborhood playing music and visiting with neighbors along the way.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Mire; spouse, Garrett Mire; granddaughter, Bailey Mire; grandson, Luc Mire; son; Jody Pelloquin; spouse, Jody Pelloquin; granddaughters, Mya and Cora Pelloquin.  He is preceded by his wife, Joy Pelloquin; parents, Noris and Nora Pelloquin; brothers, Richard Pelloquin and Billy Pelloquin; sister, Donna Bumpers.

A Memorial visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2024, with a time for shared remembrances beginning at 7 p.m., at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, La.
