Funeral services for Ronny Lee Johnson, 81, of Etoile will be held Monday, June 24, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Shirley Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was born August 9, 1942 in DeRidder, La. to the late Thelma (Austin) and Lee Johnson, and died Thursday, June 20, 2024 in a local hospice facility.

Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army and retired as a Senior Operator following 30 years of employment at Schlumberger. He was a member of Shirley Creek Baptist Church. Ronny and Jean spent 10 years in full time travel as members of multiple travel associations including Campers on Mission.

Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Gale Morrison; stepdaughter, Kempa Spalding; grandchildren, Nathaniel Morrison, Greyson Johnson, Samuel Morrison, Lee Johnson, Braedon “Mac” Morrison, Briannah Johnson, Sandon Spalding, and Shelby Spalding; great-grandchild, Henry William Johnson; brother, Gary Johnson; sister, Tammy Cline; a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and his companions, Peanut, Prissy and Beau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judith (Mott) Johnson; wife, Jeanne (Lanningham) Johnson; son, Gregory Johnson; sister, Donnis Borel; and brothers, Eddy Johnson and Louis Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Morrison, Sam Morrison, Mac Morrison, Spencer Johnson, Greyson Johnson, Sandon Spalding, and Shelby Spalding.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Monday afternoon prior to the services.
