Mark Anthony Doucet, age 65, of Lake Charles, La. passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024. He was born on Nov. 22, 1958 to Service Anthony Doucet and Sylvia Marie Doucet in Lake Charles, La. 

Mark was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and Choupique. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran and enjoyed his time served. After leaving the military, Mark became an electrician and always took pride in his work. Mark enjoyed living in the country, being in the outdoors and his expertise in gardening came from his momma, Sylvia. He will be remembered of being a man of generosity and giving his time and talents to anyone in need. Mark’s greatest passion was being with family, friends and playing his guitar on his porch.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Hally Doucet and husband, Max; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Araceli and Mariela; siblings, Kenneth Doucet, Robert Doucet and wife, Sharon, and Sandy Janca and husband, Greg; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Liz Doucet; sister, Jeanette Watson, and brother, Michael Doucet.

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Friday, June 21, 2024 beginning at 10 a.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 12 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
