Henrietta “Toni” Collins

Henrietta “Toni” Collins was born on Feb. 21, 1935 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Lottie Avery Cook and step-father, George Cook. Toni attended P.S.25 Girls High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.
On Nov. 22, 1974, she united in Holy Matrimony to Leo Collins.
While living in Los Angeles, Calif., she was a member of the First A.M.E. Methodist Church. Upon moving to Lake Charles, La. with her husband; they joined Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In 2002, Toni and Leo united with Christian Baptist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family. She was adventurous, outgoing and always the life of the party.
Toni was a member The Twelfth Night Revelers, The Red Hat Society, and Senior Circle of Lake Charles.
She was predeceased in death by her step-father, George Cook; mother, Lottie Avery Cook; son, Brian Phillip Robinson; sister, Carol Lee Carter; husband, Leo Collins; sister, Joyce Marie Rhodes; and son, Steven Leroy Robinson.
Her precious memories will be cherished by a family who dearly loved her. Daughter, Karen Cleveland of Burbank, Calif.; stepdaughter, Karen L. Lesley of Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren, Cameron Cleveland (Jasmine) of Burbank, Calif., Trenton Cleveland of Burbank, Calif., Breon Robinson of Lake Charles, La., Campbell Robinson of Houston, Texas; great-granddaughters, Leiya, Luna, and Raine of Burbank, Calif.; daughter-in-laws, Wendy Campbell Robinson of Lake Charles, La. and Katherine Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 at 2000 Moeling St. Lake Charles, LA 70601.
