The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Father’s Day homicide on Santa Anna Drive in Moss Bluff.
Spokeswoman Kayla Vincent said deputies were dispatched to the residence around 11:30 am Sunday in reference to a deceased man.
When deputies arrived, they found David P. Savoie, 52, of DeQuincy deceased inside the residence.
Vincent said detectives determined the death to be a homicide and identified a person of interest as Enrique D. Ruano II, 29, Lake Charles. After further investigation Judge Tony Fazzio issued a warrant for Ruano’s arrest.
“Earlier this morning detectives located Ruano at a local hospital,” Vincent said. “He was taken into custody and arrested.”
Vincent said Ryan has been booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center and charged with second-degree murder. His bond is set at $650,000.
The investigation is ongoing and the coroner will determine cause of death, Vincent said.
Violent Crimes Detectives Larry Cormier is the lead investigator on this case.
