Victoria “Vicky” Caponi, 75, of Lake Charles, La., passed from this life on Sunday, June 2, 2024. 

Vicky was a librarian at FK White Middle School for 32 years. During her youth, she loved horse back riding and ballet. Vicky is loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Dianne Caponi of Lake Charles, La., Vivian Willett and David of DeRidder, La.; nephew, Alex Willett and Korey; great-nieces, Riley and Lorelai, and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Rose Caponi, and nephew, Toy Willett.

Visitation will be held at Kern Hall on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at 12:10 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder, La. Father V. Wayne LeBleu will officiate the service.

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Vicky’s longtime caregiver, Sister Chiebuka, and Harbor Hospice. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Vicky’s honor to Smile Train or ReSurge, which are both wonderful organizations that provide operations for children with cleft palates. 

Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La.
