Margaret “Cana” Ann Guillory

Margaret Ann Guillory “Cana”, 83, was born Dec. 12, 1940 in Bellview, La. to Lester Lewis and Lucille Plumber Lewis. A native of Bellview, she resided in Lake Charles, La. most of her life.
She was a member of Reeves CME Temple where she served as a stewardess, member of the choir, Pastor’s Aid President, and Cafeteria Ministry. She retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board as the cafeteria manager.
Mrs. Guillory departed this life Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1:07 a.m. in her residence surrounded by her family. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 61 years, Cornelius Guillory Sr.; daughter, Tanya Guillory; son, Cornelius (Karen) Guillory Jr.; sister, Bernice Collins; brothers, Marion, Robert Lee, and Gerald Lewis; adopted daughter, Lisa Lewis; goddaughter, Sasha Mitchell; nine grandchildren, Corey (Jennifer), Keenun (Kayla), Terrance (Kristen), KiAndrea, and Kiara Guillory, Damian Ledoux II, Tia and Mia Salters, and April Williams; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and great grandchild, Maddix Wilson; sisters, Leola Lewis, Evelyn Jackson, Vivian and Shirley Lewis; and brothers, Jessie, Xavier, and Ronald Lewis.
Her visitation will be Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 9 a.m., with her funeral following at 11 a.m., at Reeves CME Temple. Pastor Bernard Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Hamilton Garden of Memory.
