Another day, another transfer is heading to McNeese.
The Cowboys added to their stable of players coming over from college football’s highest division Sunday, signing Tulsa defensive back Reggie Ellis.
The 6-foot, 180-pound graduate transfer is the 18th player coming to McNeese from an FBS school, most in tops in the FCS division.
Ellis is the second defensive back to join the Cowboys this weekend. On Friday McNeese picked defensive back Shuayb “Shoes” Brinkley out of East Los Angeles Junior College. Brinkley played his freshman year at Delaware on the FCS level, finishing with 14 tackles in 11 games with one start as a cornerback.
Ellis is also a cornerback with four years of playing experience at Tulsa. He is a native of Houston and is the latest addition to the Cowboy roster that continues to be overhauled.
