Anita Lynn Wilfer, 68, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in her home.
She was a lifelong resident of Vinton and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Lynn enjoyed reading, hunting, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Darald Glenn Wilfer of Vinton; her sons, Bradley Dale Wilfer and wife, Crystal, of Big Woods and Glenn Anthony Wilfer and wife, Jessica, of Sulphur; her siblings, Tony Foster and wife, Christine, of Dike, Texas, Tammy Perkins and husband, Thad, of Washburn, Tenn., Cindy Fielder of Idaho, and Patty Franey and husband, Ron, of Camerio, Calif.; her aunt, Loretta Young of Vinton; four grandchildren, Bryce Anthony Wilfer and wife, Lyla, Kennedy Klaire Wilfer, Kelsey Coomer and husband, Kyle, and Austin Land and wife, Holly Beth; and three great-grandchildren, Evelyn Land, Owen Land, and Cayden Coomer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Glenn Foster and Emma Lee Jackson Foster, and her sister, Debbie Dupuis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Pallbearers will be Glenn Wilfer, Brad Wilfer, Bryce Wilfer, Austin Land, Ricky Wilfer, and Jason Alamond. Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Turpin Jr. and Logan Turpin. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
