Alice Ann Jackson, age 87, of Lake Charles, La. went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 4, 2024 while resting in her home. Alice was born to Stella Marie and Cyrus Guidry on Sept. 24, 1936 in Sweetlake, La.

She was a proud mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, even more proud of her home and where she was born. She loved caring for her family and friends, baking, giving to those around her, and serving at her church MBP.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, William “Marty” Jackson; many siblings; and her son-in-law, David Richard.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 68 years, William Verdice Jackson; daughter, Sherry Ann Richard; son, Scotty Jackson and wife, Jackie; son, Shannon Jackson and wife, Becky; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. Visitation will resume at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2023 at Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church until time of service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jared Pugh will officiate and burial will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
