Shirley “Man” Bias Jr.

Shirley went home to be with his Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ on March 23, 2024, while surrounded by his loving family in LC Memorial Hospital.
Shirley “Man” Bias Jr. was a native of Whiteville La. And lived most of his life in Lake Charles, La. Shirley was born on July 20, 1946, to his loving parents, Shirley “Coy” Bias Sr. and Velma Bias.
Shirley Jr. “Man”, a man of many hats, and he wore them all very well. He is a Child of God. He was a family man; he loved his whole family. He was a son, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, a brother, a provider, a friend. There was no one occupation, he was “A Jack of all Trades”; mechanic, painter, carpenter, musician (Lil Bias and the Outsiders) gardener, caterer, a caretaker, and Mr. Mom.
If you were to search for the most kindhearted, selfless, caring, will give you his last or the shirt off his back person, there would be a picture of our dad, Shirley “Man” Bias Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories are two sons, Jamar Arnez Bias and Troy Wayne Dicks; three daughters, Tammy (Lonnie) Abel, Arica Michelle Bias, and Miosha Bias (Aaron) all of Lake Charles, La.; 10 grandchildren, Marquias Bias, Jasmine Abel, Keyona Blue, Christian Abel, Demarion Bias, King Bias, Danny McClain Jr, Alonnah Rose Allen, Kamelia Bias, and Troylen Stewart; eight great-grandchildren; five brothers, Darrell Sr, Larry, Ladray, Ronnie all of Lake Charles, La. and Anthony of Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, Carrie Jones of Houston, Texas, Patricia Bias and Stephanie Frank of Lake Charles, La.
Shirley Jr. “Man” was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Marie Dicks Bias “Sis;” parents, Shirley Sr. “Coy” and Velma Bias; four sisters, Dorthy Thomas, Catherine Jett, Judy Thomas, Paranell Lewis, and one great-granddaughter, Amari Rose Marie Davis.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, in Combre Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Mill Street Lake Charles, LA 70601. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel.
