On Thursday, March 28, 2024, Loretta Marlene Bennett donned robes of immortality and was carried by ministering angels into the arms of Jesus.
Her 90 year journey on earth consisted of much sacrifice, unconditional love, unwavering prayer, sweet soprano-voice singing, Bible study and teaching Sunday School. Her gentle spirit and loving kindness were known to all who had the privilege of being in her presence.
While her daughters, Evelyn Romero and Sandra Andrews, were telling her goodbye on this earth, a host of family and friends who had gone on before her were saying hello to her for eternity.
Along with Evelyn and Sandra who remain to be forever impacted by their beautiful mother’s life are grandchildren, Michelle, Amanda, Ashley, David, Katheryn, Marlene, Patricia, and Jaysen; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Carol Joyner; brother, Sonny Beauchamp; along with her stepson, Mike Bennett.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Emanuel Frederick, Joe Patrick and Elmer Bennett; parents, Newell and Velma Beauchamp; brothers, Charles and David Beauchamp; sister, Claudia Swift of Colorado, and her son, Larry Frederick.
A Celebration of Loretta’s life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Adrian Littlefield officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home prior to the service on Tuesday, beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur, La.
