Celebration of Life Services for Georgia Mae Bernard-Williamson, 84, will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Mill Street Church of Christ. Minister Freddy Anderson will officiate. Visiting will be in the church from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be on Monday, April 1, 2024, in Saint Matthew Cemetery in Patoutville, La. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, La.
Georgia passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on Oct. 25, 1939, in Patoutville, La. to the late Charlotte Jenkins Bernard and Andrew Bernard Sr. Georgia accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mill Street Church of Christ. She retired as a childcare manager with 30 plus years of service.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Andrew Bernard Sr; one son, Danny Williamson Sr.; one granddaughter, Kelly Williamson and one great-great-granddaughter, Karisse Williamson; five sisters, Virginia Bernard Williams, Mary Lee Bernard, Alice Bernard Alexander, Jessie Mae Bernard Iford, and Ameilia Bernard; three brothers, Andrew Bernard Jr., Moses Bernard Sr., and David Bernard Sr.
Georgia leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Kenneth Wayne Williamson Sr. and John Williamson; two brothers, Elton Bernard Sr. and Joseph Bernard Sr; three sisters, Margret Emma Bernard, Gustina Lewis, and Gertrude Haggar; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
