Betty Ann Duplechain Reeves, 82, of Topsy, La., on March 12, 2024, has joined her dance partner, Wayne, in Heaven and the floors are smoking tonight! Their dance started long ago when they met and married. Now there are no aches or weary legs to slow them down. Dance on!

Betty was born Oct. 3, 1941 to parents Delco and Ella Duplechain of Lake Charles, La. She married Wayne Reeves on April, 23, 1966 and were married 53 wonderful years until Wayne’s passing. Together they had a wonderful family.

Betty loved with all of her heart and lived for her family. She enjoyed porch sitting with a coke and a smoke, watching her kids and grandkids play in the yard. She was always into whatever the kids or grandkids were into and always cheered them on.

When God took her, she was surrounded by her loved ones.

Betty is welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Delco and Ella Duplechain; husband, Wayne Reeves; sister, Nora Mae Broussard; brothers, Darrell and Larry Duplechain; son-in-law, David Ardoin; granddaughter, Laney Danielle Reeves.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Vicky Lynn Glorioso and Sandra Darlene Ardoin; son, Darrell Wayne Reeves “Toot” and wife, Susan, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice and especially Amy and Stacy.

The family will welcome the public for visitation at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary held at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Creel Cemetery.
