Kathryn Bertrand Fuller

Kathryn Bertrand Fuller, in the company of her children, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2024, at the age of 84.
Born on March 31, 1939, Kathryn graduated from Welsh High School in the summer of 1957 and continued her education at McNeese State University where she met her late husband, John “Mike” Fuller. Mike and Kathy were wed on Nov. 7, 1958; they were happily married for more than 64 years until Mike’s passing in February 2023.
Kathryn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her devout Catholic faith. She lived her faith in action, by giving back and dedicating her life to her community and those she loved. She found illustrious joy in her work with Care Help and she spent many years part-time at the Louisiana Tourist Bureau.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, John “Mike” Fuller; her father, Merlin Bertrand; her mother, Dolly Roy, and her brother, Michael Bertrand. She is survived by her siblings, Phillip Bertrand (Virgie), and Marilyn Spell (Edward); children, Vickie Etheridge (Joseph), LaDonna Houston (Todd), Tracy Donley (Ted), Jan Hubbard (Cliff), and Todd Fuller (Aliska) 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private ceremony will be held in Illinois, where Kathryn and Mike shared many summers together.
