Some tickets still remain for the 2024 Jersey Mike’s Southland Conference Basketball Tournament at the McNeese Legacy Center in Lake Charles beginning Sunday, March 10. But act fast.
McNeese Men’s Basketball action has not disappointed this year — and when the Cowboys play at home, seats sell out.
It’s happened four times already. Be part of the court of the crowned and reigning champions, up close and in person.
Southland Conference Commissioner Chris Grant said to expect plenty of conference members hoping to take McNeese down and he expects seats will be full at this “ultra competitive” showdown.
This is the second year the conference has been hosted in Lake Charles, a central location for the mid-major arena that creates the perfect environment for student athletes to compete at the highest level possible.
“The league is growing and McNeese is raising the bar,” Grant said.
The men’s tournament tips off Sunday, March 10, with first-round games at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and the semifinal games will be played Tuesday, March 12, at a time to be determined. The men’s championship game is set for Wednesday, March 13, at a time to be determined.
Women’s first-round games will be played Monday, March 11, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Women’s second-round games are Tuesday, March 12, 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Semifinal games are scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, at a time to be determined.
The winners of the conference men’s and women’s tournaments will earn the Southland Conference’s automatic bid into the 2024 NCAA tournaments. The NCAA Men’s Final Four is April 6 and 8. The Women’s Final Four is April 4 and 7.
