The Arts Council of SWLA and the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury have announced that the application for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Grant is now available for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

This competitive grant program is funded annually by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury and administered by the Arts Council. The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Grant offers a Project Assistance Grant ($500-$5,000) to provide funding for a specific project on one or more single or recurring dates.

Applicants applying for assistance with a project must hold that project within Calcasieu Parish. Applications may be downloaded at www.artscouncilswla.org.

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, March 15.

A grant review panel will be held at the end of March at Central School. During this session, a panel will review applications and recommend funding levels to the Arts Council board of directors.

Funding decisions are not made by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. The Arts Council also provides qualitative grant administration for the Louisiana Division of the Arts, the City of Lake Charles, and the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau. Grant writing assistance and consultations are available through the Arts Council office.
