A cadet at the Allen Parish Correctional Center was arrested on Wednesday for malfeasance in office.

Macy Elizabeth Vincent, 27, of Eunice was booked into the Allen Parish Jail on charges of malfeasance in office for allegedly having inappropriate contact with an inmate.

Bond has been set at $25,000.

A prison and sheriff’s office investigation uncovered an alleged inappropriate relationship between Vincent and an Allen Correctional Center inmate.

Vincent was a probationary employee for the correctional center, according to Ken Pastorick, a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety and Corrections.

The Department of Corrections separated employment with Vincent following her arrest on Wednesday, he said.. She had been employed with Allen Correctional Center since Dec. 4, 2023.

No other details were released, pending further investigation.
