Freddy Greene, 71, passed away peacefully at his residence with his son by his side on Feb. 15, 2024.

He was born on Aug. 15, 1952 in New Orleans, La. to Odis and Gladys Greene. He was a lifelong cowboy who loved farming, ranching, and rodeoing. He worked hauling livestock for many years. He enjoyed leatherworking, zydeco music, dancing, and taking care of his horses.

Freddy is survived by his children, Ashley Greene and Ty Greene (Nicole); grandchildren, Alexis Greene, Garrett Greene, and Owen Greene, and brother, Barry Greene (DeEtte).

His funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024 at 1 p.m. Rev. Don Barrett will officiate. Burial will take place in Hopewell Cemetery in DeRidder following the service. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
