The CPPJ Human Services Department is asking Calcasieu Parish residents to participate in a Community Needs Assessment survey to provide input on its services and how well it is meeting the needs of the community.

Residents can complete the survey online at calcasieu.gov/cna. The survey includes questions on conditions that contribute to poverty, as well as barriers that prevent households from improving their socio-economic conditions.

“Lend your voice to our 2024 Community Needs Assessment and directly contribute to shaping the strategic direction of the CPPJ Human Services Programs. Your feedback will allow us to capture genuine community needs and improve spending of our grant funding.” said Erika Doshier, Human Services Programs Manager.

The Police Jury will accept survey responses until March 31, 2024.

Human Services conducts the assessment every three years as a requirement for the Community Services Block Grant statute.

Doshier said the Community Needs Assessment results will be used to evaluate current services, to identify any gaps in services, and to develop new programs to potentially meet those gaps.
