Samuel Christopher Weber

Samuel “Chris” was born in Greely, Colo. and graduated from Greely West High School where he was a member of the honor society. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after high school and was a Corpsman for the Fleet Marine Force. He then spent the next four years stationed in San Diego, Calif. and Okinawa, Japan. After leaving the Navy, he moved with his father Samuel to Biloxi, Miss., and Lake Charles, La. Sam met Donna Hall shortly after moving to Lake Charles and they married in 1995. He attended McNeese State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in medical technology. He completed an internship at Lake Charles Memorial hospital graduating at the top of his class. He worked for Dr. David Hardey in Moss Bluff, La. for three years, then began working at Lake Charles Memorial for the next nine years. In 2009, Sam was offered a commission and began active duty as an U.S. Naval officer. His tours as an officer included Italy, Virginia, and Florida. Sam joined the U.S. Navy Reserves in 2017 and relocated to San Antonino, Texas and accepted a job at Brooke Army Medical Center as a Laboratory Scientist in Hematology. He continued to drill in the US Navy Reserves and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander.
Samuel is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna Hall Weber of Schertz, Texas; his parents, Samuel and Kim Weber of Highland Haven, Texas; Patricia and Dave Richert of Heber, Ariz.; his children, Caleb Waldmeier (Magan), Anna Rusnak (Jonathon), and Julia Weber, and three grandchildren, Isabelle, Anderson, and Elliot all of Lake Charles, La. Sam was also survived by a sister, Chandra Vandry (William) of Austin Texas, and three stepbrothers, Matthew, Nathan, and Daniel Sparks. In life, Sam enjoyed short adventures to the Texas hill country wineries with Donna, boating with his parents on Lake LBJ, and taking ski trips to the Colorado mountains. He often practiced his shooting skills at local ranges, inviting friends and family.
Arrangements have been made through Johnson Funeral Home, and services will be determined on a later date.
