“We are proud to learn of our successful grant application. My administration will continue to aggressively improve our drainage infrastructure citywide,” said Mayor Nic Hunter. “In addition to maintaining drainage as a budget priority, we will continue to seek additional grants to move drainage work forward at a rapid pace.”

“This successful grant application is welcome news for District C, as well as the City of Lake Charles as a whole,” said District C City Councilman Rodney Geyen. “Drainage knows no geographical boundaries, so anytime we improve drainage in one area; it’s a win for the entire city. We are pleased to see work being completed in this particular watershed area as we have a number of exciting projects scheduled, including the recently announced Anita Drive Park.”
