Patricia “Lisa Tee” Towner was born in Lake Charles on June 3, 1961 to the union of Willie and Mable LeDay Armelin. She is a Sulphur High School alumni where she was the first black drummer in the Toredors. In her early years she was a member of a band called “The Ghetto Band.” She went on to work at C & L Supply and Entergy refinery where she became the first black female operator. She’s also an alumni of Lamar State College. She went on to become a Substance Abuse Counselor with New Beginnings in Moss Bluff. She reached many with her mentorship through her vast knowledge and sometimes tough love. She dedicated her life to serving others. She loved to TALK! She never met a stranger and treated everyone equally. To know her was to love her.
