Patricia “Lisa Tee” Towner was born in Lake Charles on June 3, 1961 to the union of Willie and Mable LeDay Armelin. She is a Sulphur High School alumni where she was the first black drummer in the Toredors. In her early years she was a member of a band called “The Ghetto Band.” She went on to work at C & L Supply and Entergy refinery where she became the first black female operator. She’s also an alumni of Lamar State College. She went on to become a Substance Abuse Counselor with New Beginnings in Moss Bluff.  She reached many with her mentorship through her vast knowledge and sometimes tough love. She dedicated her life to serving others. She loved to TALK! She never met a stranger and treated everyone equally. To know her was to love her. She leaves to cherish her memory her caring husband of 43 years, Dwight David Towner Sr.; her two “baby boys” as she called them, Dwight “Boo” Towner Jr. and Chad Eric Towner; brothers, Ricky Armelin Sr., Ronald Carrier, Joseph Carrier, and Lincoln Carrier; sisters, Debra Armelin Vincent, Tammy Armelin, Elaine Carrier, and Beverly Armelin.

 Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Jan. 13 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur with a visitation from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.  Under the direction of Stevens’ Funeral Home.
