Rose Khoury Parham

Rose Khoury Parham, 95, of Sulphur, La., passed away on Dec. 31, 2023, in Lake Charles, La. She was born on Feb. 28, 1928, to William and Susan Khoury. Rose was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Marlin Parham; her sister, Najieby Misse; brother, Albert Khoury; sister, Pearl Bates; sister, Helen Saloom.
Rose was known for her kind generosity, caring and considerate demeanor, thoughtfulness, and selfless nature. She is survived by her loving children, Bill Parham, Burt Parham, and Marla Kay Regan; as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rose dedicated herself to education, teaching second grade at Episcopal Day School for 21 years. She also served as a Pink Lady at Calcasieu Cameron Hospital for 20 years and volunteered with Care Help for many years. Rose was a woman of faith and attended services at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sulphur, La., Faith Temple in Sulphur, La., Trinity Baptist in Lake Charles, La., and Our Lady Queen of Heaven in Lake Charles, La.
In her free time, Rose enjoyed cooking for friends and family, playing bingo, doing crosswords, playing cards, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active member of her community and will be remembered for her compassion and dedication to helping others.
A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to Villa Maria, Harbor Hospice, or any ministries of Monsignor DeBlanc.
Rose Khoury Parham will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
