Eary Elmer Bennett Jr., 95, of Sulphur, La., passed from this life on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Marlene Bennett of Sulphur, La.; son, Mike Bennett of Sulphur, La.; sister, Nell Cryer of Junction, La.; granddaughter, Tina Babineaux and Lee of Westlake, La.; great-grandchildren, Callie Duhon and Louis, Matthew Babineaux, Samantha Babineaux; great-great grandchildren, Ellie, Bennett, Coraline; bonus children, Greg Sittig and Dena, Cindy Sittig, Jake Sittig, Kim White and Wesley, Evelyn Romero, Sandra Andrews; bonus grandchildren, Haylee Sittig and Wayne, Justin Sittig and Kaitlyn, Paul Hebert, Britany Hebert, Alyssa Vige, Joey Sittig, Dominick Sittig, Aarin Sittig; bonus great-grandchildren, Breyauna Jones, Paitlyn Jones, Jaxson Jones, Adalynn Jones, Taysom Granger, Josephine Sittig, Audrey Sittig, Dustin Hebert and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Chance; second wife, Susan Bennett; parents, Eary and Callie Bennett; siblings, Carl Everett Bennett, Leroy Bennett, Harold Bennett, Ruby Leona Hennigan, Myrl Spikes, Joyce Marie Brister, Mae Louise Hanchey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La. Brother Randy Hennigan will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Matthew Babineaux, Louis Duhon, Byron Bennett, Tony Bennett, Austin Hebert, Edward Knowlton. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bennett Duhon. Burial will follow at Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, La.
