Theodore “Pete” Simon Cormier

Theodore “Pete” Simon Cormier, 83, of Douglassville, Penn., passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023. His wife Sandy and his special cat, Cinnamon, were by his side.
Pete was born on April 3, 1940, in Gillis, La. He graduated from Gillis High School in 1959 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Science from Northwestern State University. Pete was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran.
He worked for 30 years as a State Farm Agent in Bern Township. He was known for his love of tinkering, doing projects, and spending time outdoors, often seen wearing his signature bib overalls. Pete’s dedication to his work and his love for the outdoors, animals, and his nieces and nephews were evident to all who knew him.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Sandra L. (Wagner) Cormier of Bernville, Penn.; his sister, Carolyn Marie (Cormier) Babin of Lake Charles, La.; and brother, Robert N. Cormier of Alabama; and lifelong friends, Glenn Talbert and Rodney Rougeau of La.
He was predeceased by his parents, Claude J. Cormier Sr. and Florence F. (McSherry) Cormier; his brothers, Claude J. Cormier Jr., Noah F. Cormier, Richard H. Cormier, Allen R. Cormier, and Herman R. Cormier.
