John Veuleman

Jennings- Mr. John Veuleman, 77, of Welsh, La., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Nov. 30, 2023.
The family has chosen to honor John’s wishes of cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Memorial services for Mr. John will be held on Dec. 12, 2023, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Welsh, with Brother Pat Deshotel officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until the time of service.
Mr. Veuleman was born in Many, La., to Clifton E. Veuleman Sr. and Marion Macario Veuleman on Nov. 4, 1946. He graduated from Roanoke High School in 1965. Mr. Veuleman farmed for many years, both for himself and for Diamond W. Inc. He was later employed by Sports Turf. He was a previous board member of the Louisiana Cattlemen Association, Red Poll Cattle Association, and Roanoke Rice Co-op. John was an active member of the Welsh First Baptist Church. He enjoyed anything that involved the outdoors, and his favorite past time was watching John Wayne Westerns.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are beloved wife, Charlene Pulver Veuleman; children, Mena (Shane) Benoit of Welsh, Kathy Jo Veuleman of Lake Charles, Crystal (Patrick) Berken of Lumberton, Texas, Jamie (Brandon) Anthony of Jennings and Daniel (Bridget) Veuleman of Welsh; brothers, Douglas (Margie) Veuleman of Katy, Texas, and Clifton “Gene” Veuleman Jr. of Welsh; sisters, Theresa Clement of Evangeline and Kathleen (Philip) Cantrelle of Lake Arthur; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Jesus) Zarate, Misty Benoit, Harley Benoit, Justin Gotreaux, Logan Gotreaux, Kayla Berken, Preston Berken, Abbigale Anthony, Anderson Veuleman, Piper Veuleman and Vaughn Veuleman; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Riley, Colt and Melody.
Mr. Veuleman was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Edward Lewis.
