Laura Quienalty Robbins, lovingly known as “Chookie,” passed away peacefully on Dec. 3, 2023, at the age of 86 in Houston, Texas. She was born on Nov. 28, 1937. Laura will be deeply missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Gerry and Melanie Vallow, her brother, Charlie Quienalty, and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joel Robbins.

Laura Quietly Robbins “Chookie” exemplified unwavering Christian faith throughout her life. Rooted in love and compassion, her faith served as a guiding light, influencing her interactions with others. She found solace and strength in prayer, sharing her convictions with a gentle spirit that touched the hearts of those around her. Laura’s commitment to her Christian values infused every aspect of her being, fostering a sense of peace and hope that will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Laura enjoyed extensive travel with her husband, Joel, creating cherished memories together. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Lake Charles, where she found spiritual nourishment and fellowship.
