Maudry Rita Ardoin Miller, 90, passed away in Lake Charles on Nov. 16, 2023.
Visitation will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Nov. 21, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a rosary at 11 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Father Matthew Cormier will officiate.
Maudry was born in Durald, La., on Oct. 28, 1933, to Sabey Ardoin and Hadley LeDoux Ardoin. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Dennis Miller Jr.; her parents and five brothers, Jimmie, Harrison, Allen, Dennis and Mike Ardoin.
Maudry loved spending time with her friends doing ceramics and other crafts. She was a great hostess for the many family barbeques and get togethers during her lifetime, but her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
Maudry is survived by two daughters, Diann Miller Westbrook (Michael) of Sulphur and Sandra Miller Ange (Casey) of Lake Charles; her sister, Barbara Ardoin Alston of DeQuincy; five grandchildren, Brady Allen Westbrook, Ryan Scott Dennis Westbrook, Paul Henry Westbrook, Crystal Dawn Ange East and Casey Pete Ange III, seven great-grandchildren, Isabella Grace East, Anna Sophia East, Cecilia Claire East, Reagan Elizabeth Westbrook, Cameron Scott Westbrook, Sylvia Jacqueline Westbrook and Henry Miller Westbrook.
Pallbearers are Casey Ange Jr., Brady Westbrook, Casey Ange III, Todd Ardoin, Chad East, and Langtre Alston. Honorary Pallbearer is Barbara Ardoin Alston.
She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.
