Collie Thomas Sr., 90, departed peacefully Oct. 27, 2023.  His service will be held Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Lake Charles, La. 

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Velma; his children, Emmanuel (Geneva) of Houston, Texas, Darlene (Robert) Chapman of Jackson, Ala., Kenneth (Juanetta) Thomas of Lake Charles, La.; his sister, Edrice Thomas of Jackson, Ala.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
