Ned Johnson Jr., age 81, a devoted husband for 57 years, a loving family man, a proud Navy Veteran, an innovative entrepreneur, and a good man departed this life on Oct. 22, 2023, at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings, La.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, 11 a.m. at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 202 Evergreen Baptist Ln., DeQuincy, LA 70633. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service.  Interment DeQuincy Community Cemetery.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned Sr. and Marjorie Johnson. 

He leaves to cherish his memories is his wife of 57 years, Leatha Mae Johnson; three sisters, Elaine Jackson, Gail Johnson, and Joyce Williams; two brothers, Donald (Bessie) Johnson and Alvin (Di-ane) Johnson; one brother-in-law, Cleveland (Andrea) Marburgh; three sisters-in-law, Gloria Neville, Delicia Marburgh, and Vera Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ned will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
