Floyd Lee Trahan

Floyd Trahan, 93, of Sulphur, La. passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Floyd was born on Dec. 27, 1929, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Floyd loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and shrimping. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed following his grandchildren and being involved in all of their adventures.
Floyd proudly served in the United States Army before receiving an Honorable Discharge. He worked for WR Grace for 39 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and a member of Woodmen of the World.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 72 years, Yvonne Trahan; five children, Robert Garland Trahan, Anita Beth Best, Kenneth Dwayne Trahan, Patrick Brian Trahan, and Kerry Layne Trahan; sister, Susie Janice; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents; son, Randall Floyd Trahan and four siblings.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss, La., Father Ray Cadran, M.S. will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m., at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. until we depart for the church.
