Disney on Ice is returning this weekend with the show “Find Your Hero,” a journey through the worlds of “Encanto,” “Moana,” “Frozen,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Rapunzel” and “Beauty and the Beast” from Thursday, October 26 to Sunday, October 29 at the Lake Charles Civic Center.
Guests will traverse through these realms alongside Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy to “discover that courage, determination and heart are all part of the hero in you,” according to a release from Disney on Ice.
The heroic adventure begins in Colombia as guests join Mirabel to save Casita, her family’s magical home. After learning about the power of an individual’s gifts and talents, they will be transported to the islands of Polynesia with Moana and the demigod Maui to learn the importance of identity.
Guests will also visit Anna, Elsa and Olaf’s chilly kingdom, Ariel’s vibrant world “Under the Sea,” Rapunzel’s tower and Belle and Beast’s castle.
These stories are told with impressive, professional ice skaters donning bright costumes, and the worlds are brought to life with innovative lighting, special effects and bold set designs.
Tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, with standard admission prices ranging from $25 to $55. All guests aged two or older are required to have a ticket.
Local Disney fans can also participate in the “Wayfinding with Moana” Character Experience.” Those participating in the pre-show experience will have the opportunity to dance, craft and interact with Moana and her friend, Mickey Mouse.
Access to “Wayfinding with Moana” can be gained at an additional cost when purchasing tickets. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Character experiences take place one hour before each show begins.
