Virgil Dale Trahan

Virgil Dale Trahan, 74, of Carlyss, La. passed away in his home with his loved ones by his side on Sept. 24, 2023. He was born on Jan. 24, 1947, to Virgil J. and Willadell Trahan in Sulphur, La.
Virgil was a heavy equipment operator at PPG Industries for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting, and reloading shells in his free time. Virgil loved the Lord and was a member of Choupique Baptist church. He was a loving husband, father, papa, and friend.
Those left to cherish Virgil’s memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Gwen Trahan; sons, Shannon Marler (Paula), Eric Marler (Katherine), Jay Trahan, John Trahan; daughter, Joni Trahan; grandchildren, Ashley Lovejoy (Matt), Macy Baudin (Sam), Victoria Marler (Isaac), Ben Marler, Julianne Soileau (Nate), Nathanael Marler, Emma Marler, Christopher Marler, and Olivia Marler; great-grandchildren Wyatt Lovejoy, Walker Lovejoy, Norah Soileau, Charlotte Baudin, Samuel “Beau” Baudin; brother, Wyatt Trahan and sister, Cindy Dowies.
Virgil is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Willadell Trahan; sister, Tammy Burk; great-granddaughter Collins Baudin.
Services for Virgil will be held at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Sugartown Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Pastor Lonnie Gothrup. The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, and resume on Saturday at 8 a.m. until time of service. Words of comfort may be left at www.robisonfuneralhome.com.
