Calcasieu Parish Unit of Retired Teachers will host a political forum at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, at Pryce Miller Recreation Center, 216 Albert St.

The forum will feature candidates for 14th Judicial District Court Judge Division F and candidates for state Representative District 34. Candidates will share their vision for the elected position for which they are vying.

Scheduled to appear are Division F candidates Sa’Trica Williams and Bobby Holmes. State Representative District 34 candidates are Kevin Guidry, Franklin Lewis and incumbent Wilford Carter.

Attendees will have an opportunity to register to vote. Cards will be provided so those with questions for the candidates may write them and the moderators will ask their questions.

Calcasieu Parish Unit of Retired Teachers meet the second Wednesday of each month. Retired teachers and administrators are eligible for membership. Jassland Kelly-Demease is CPURT president.
