Michael Wayne Bellow, 60, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at a local hospice. 

He was a native and lifelong resident of Vinton. Michael worked for over 20 years with Westlake Chemical. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting. 

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sherry Bellow of Vinton; his daughter, Kristina Sims of Pawhuska, Ok.; his father, Don Bellow of Woodville, Texas; his mother, Sue Bellow of Vinton; his sister, Donna Bellow of Vinton; his nephew, Brandon Coulter of Lake Charles; his grandchildren, Michael Sims of Pawhuska, Oklahoma and Justi Sims of Belle Plaine, Kansas; and two great-grandchildren, Cohen and Sutton Sims. 

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton led by Hixson’s Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Pallbearers will be Mark Rumery, Rodney Goff, Michael Sims, Tom Redman, Joe Munoz, and Brenden Cowart. Visitation is from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
