SULPHUR — The start of the Stelly Physical and Occupational Therapy Jamboree game was delayed by almost 2 hours Thursday night, but the Lake Arthur Tigers stayed focused and came up with two huge defensive plays to beat Washington-Marion 8-6.

A severe thunderstorm moved through the area forcing the game that was originally scheduled for 5 p.m. to be pushed back to a 6:50 p.m. start. It was the first of three scheduled games with Grand Lake vs. Westlake and Barbe vs. DeRidder to follow.

The jamboree continues today with four games, starting with Vinton vs. Pickering at 4 p.m.
