Darin Lance Thibodeaux

Darin Lance Thibodeaux was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and soon to be grandfather. He was born on August 30, 1967, in Houma, La., and later reside in Cameron Parish.
His trademark was having a good sense of humor. He loved to tell stories that kept everyone rolling with laughter. He had a heart of gold, and a smile that so many will cherish forever. Darin was the proud founder and President of the Creole Neighborhood Watch, where there were many meetings about Neighborhood Safety.
Darin was extremely proud of Jarrett and Marley’s accomplishments in life. He was always supportive in their activities, whether it was through fishing, livestock shows, or any athletic event and let’s not forget pageants. It didn’t stop with his own children; he adopted their friends also as his own.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 29 years, Jill Boudreaux Thibodeaux; his children, Jarrett Thibodeaux (Josie) of Sweet Lake, La., and Marley Thibodeaux of Iowa, La.; one Grandchild due in January, his parents; Curtis Thibodeaux, and mother; Judith Guthrie. one sister; Dana Johnson (Jobe) of Iowa, La. Mother-In-Law; Josie Boudreaux, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Derek Thibodeaux, and Father-In-Law; John “T-Boy” Boudreaux
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be concelebrated by Father Wayne LeBleau. Burial will follow in the Sweet Lake/Grand Lake Community Cemetery in Bell City, La. under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023, with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m.. Visitation will resume on Friday morning at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until leaving in procession to the church at 1:30 p.m.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Heart of Hospice, all staff members at Christus Ochsner St. Patrick’s Hospital, and all of those who prayed the rosary and came by to give love/support during this time.
