Robert Erwin Morris, 76, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. He was born to his late parents, Edgar and Muriel Morris on June 8, 1947 in Lake Charles, La. Robert was a graduate of Sulphur High School where he was a member of FFA. He was a 53 year member of Local Union 198 (formerly known as 106) as a Pipefitter. Robert was a hardworker and believed in the motto “any job worth doing, was worth doing it well”. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, pets, gardening, keeping up with the local news, and spending time with his family at home. 

He is survived by three children, Roy Morris of Sulphur, La, Charles Morris of Sulphur, La., and Carol Morris of Pineville, Louisiana; one sister, Donna Morris of Sulphur, La.; along with two grandchildren, Dustin Morris and Zachary Morris. 

A Celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, La. on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 3 p.m. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Sunday, from 1p.m. until the time of the service.
