Batman has gone missing in Lake Charles. Can you track him down?

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, CyPhaCon Lake Charles and the city of Lake Charles will be hosting “Where in Lake Charles is the Caped Crusader?” at Millennium Park.

This family-friendly scavenger hunt will feature a hint sheet and levels of searching for the missing superhero, with prizes to be earned along the way.

This programming is a result of the Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative. Michael Castille, City of Lake Charles director of community services, said that CyPhaCon “does an amazing job of creating engaging comic character events,” making them a perfect partner for this event.

“We wanted to create a scavenger hunt with clues featuring one of the greatest superhero detectives, and we could not think of a better partner to engage.

“They have seen what we are doing in our parks and they wanted to be a part of our Partners in Parks Program. A scavenger hunt fits well with the mission of CyPhaCon and we are excited to establish what we believe will be a multi-event partnership with them.”

For Lake Charles Mayor Nic Hunter, unique community events are vital to the core goals of the Partners in Parks Initiative.

“We are proud of the strides being made in bringing new and innovative programming to our parks. Our Community Services Department continues to seek opportunities to create unique partnerships that pave the way to developing exciting and engaging programming for all residents to enjoy.”

The event is free and open to the public. The Lake Charles Recreations and Parks Department will provide participants with popcorn and soft drinks.
