Peggy Ruth LaRocque, born Plaisance, entered her eternal home in Heaven August 6, 2023. She was truly a Godly woman as stated in the scriptures of Proverbs 31:10-31. She was a walking, talking, living testimony for Jesus Christ all the 85 years of her life.

Peggy was born February 11, 1938 in Jennings, La. to James and Viola Plaisance. Her family later moved to Lake Charles where she met the love of her life, Francis J. LaRocque. They married on March 30th, 1955 and together they raised two sons and two daughters in Moss Bluff, La.

Prov 31:28.

As an evangelist/pastor’s wife the majority of their marriage, she served in ministry with him all across the country. Although her main focus was always to serve God and raise her family, she also held several occupations throughout her lifetime. She worked in banking, a medical secretary, sold Avon, and was an extremely talented seamstress. Her talents as a seamstress began at a very young age when she began making her own patterns and clothes in high school and progressed to wedding gowns and wardrobes for personal clients.

Her love for Christ always shone through her words, her actions and her prayers.

“She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.” Prov. 31:20.
