Bonnie Ann (Matthews) LaFleur, age 89, of Lake Charles, La passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023. She was born June 9, 1934 to Willie and Annie Matthews in Kisatchie, La.

Bonnie was a resident of the Lake Charles area for most of her life and attended St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. She will be remembered as a selfless woman who always put others first. Family meant everything to Bonnie.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Carolyn LaFleur, Wanda Foux (Byron) and Andrew LaFleur, Jr. (Nannette); grandchildren, Nathan Rauser, Emily Pigott (Randall), Sarah Foux and Alexander Foux; and six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Willie and Annie Matthews; husband, Andrew LaFleur, Sr.; grandson, Andrew “Drew” LaFleur, III; sister, Billie Jones and brother, Charles Matthews.

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Thursday, July 20, 2023 beginning at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 9 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be immediately following at Old Ritchie Cemetery.
