A Lake Charles man has been arrested for indecent behavior after attempting to entice a girl to take indecent photographs and perform sexual acts in exchange for money.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kayla Vincent said on July 1 Special Victims Unit detectives were advised that Jean P. Deshotel, 43, attempted to entice a girl — under the age of 16 — to take the photographs and perform sexual acts.

Deshotel was located at his residence on July 7.

“When detectives spoke with him he confirmed the allegations,” Vincent said.

He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $250,000.
