Rosalind Ruckstuhl

Rosalind Ruckstuhl of Lake Charles died, Thursday, June 22, 2023. A native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Rosalind was born on Nov. 19, 1950 to Clay and Mary Ruckstuhl. Rosalind worked for the Calcasieu Parish School Board before becoming a teacher with Sam Houston High School until her retirement in 2016.
She was loved by many of her former students and was a true Bronco at heart. She enjoyed spending time with her “Golden Girls” and attending many baseball games including her beloved LSU Tigers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tiffany Marie Ruckstuhl; three grandsons, Ashton Cole Blake, Jackson Cooper Wilmouth and Leo Connor Wilmouth; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Rosalind was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Michelle Ruckstuhl; five brothers, Niles Ludig Ruckstuhl, Dale Juan Ruckstuhl, William E. Burguieres, Robert Naylor Burguieres, and Albert Naylor Burguieres; one sister, Gwynn E. Savant.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 1 p.m. at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 123 W. Sale Rd., Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Visitation will also be at the church beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday and continuing until service time. Funeral services and cremation arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles, LA. 70605
