Mother Olivia Robinson Lewis, 88, was called to her heavenly home on June 3, 2023 in Houston, Texas, with her family at her bedside. She was born on June 26, 1934 in Lake Charles, La to James and Ruby (Carroll) Robinson.     She lived her entire life in Lake Charles working as a domestic servant, an aide, and a sitter. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Olive Baptist Church by the late Rev. R. L. White. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. As the matriarch of her family, she enjoyed cooking and having everyone break bread together during the holidays.

Left in God’s care to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Ruby Lewis (Curtis) Guillory of Lake Charles, La. and Mary Jo Lewis (Ivory) Watkins of Houston, Texas; six granddaughters, Katrina Trahan-Trail of Houston, Texas, Kristina Guillory (Christopher) Peters, Kellee Trahan (Charles) Guillory both of Lake Charles, La., Kesha McClendon of Shreveport, La., Joy Holt of Lithonia, Ga., and Ariane Williams of Los Angeles, Ca.; six grandsons, Joseph “JC” Guillory of Lake Charles, La, Jeremy (Melissa) Williams, Jordan (LaToya) Williams, Jonathan (Alexis) Williams all of Houston, Texas, Marquel Watkins of Los Angeles, Ca. and Zethan (Breann) Bloyer of Las Vegas, Nv.; 32 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; along with two goddaughters, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends too numerous to name.

We the family would like to acknowledge and thank our mother’s caregivers, Ms. Dianne Agajhi, St. Joseph Hospice of Lake Charles, La, and Heart to Heart Hospice of Houston, Texas for all of the loving care that was given to our Mother.
