Joseph John Ange, 69, a resident of Lake Charles, passed from this life onto his eternal reward on June 10, 2023, in a local care facility.
Joseph will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted brother, uncle, and friend. Mr. Ange was an unwavering presence in his siblings, nieces, and nephews’ lives. He attended all family functions and enjoyed being with his loved ones, especially his loving nieces and nephews. In his spare time, Joseph enjoyed watching westerns, listening to music, playing guitar, and singing, and he was a great storyteller. He loved to laugh, tell jokes, and play tricks on his nieces and nephews. Mr. Ange retired from McNeese State University with over 30 years of dedicated service. Outside of his family, career, and hobbies, Joseph previously attended Living Way Pentecostal Church and was baptized. He possessed a strong silent faith and knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Mr. Ange is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Ange Sr. and Josephine Tramonte Ange; and his sister, Mamie Kay Mhire.
He leaves to cherish his memory three siblings, Rosemary Ange Kline and husband Steve, Ruby Ange Chapman, and husband Thomas Sr., and Henry Ange Jr. and wife Ruth, 10 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the sanctuary of First Church of the Nazarene, 3940 Holly Hill Rd., Lake Charles, LA 70605. A celebration of Joseph’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Pastor Brent Keating is to officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
