First Federal Bank of Louisiana will host a summertime essentials drive at its Sulphur, 2250 Maplewood Drive, and Carlyss, 2940 Ruth St., branches from Friday, June 16, to Friday, June 30.

The drive will benefit the Sulphur Senior Center, which provides activities, social interaction, education, wellness programs, and occasional meals to keep seniors independent and active.

The center is part of the Calcasieu Council on Aging. First Federal Bank encourages the public to donate the following essential items:
 Adult Diapers
 Cleaning Supplies
 Personal Hygiene Items (toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc.)
 Non-Perishable Food Items (flour, sugar, canned goods, etc.)
 Household Items (toilet paper, detergent, dish soap, etc.)
 Clothing Items (for men & women – socks, underwear, t-shirts)
 Reusable Bags

Donations will be accepted at the branches. Staff members of First Federal Bank will also be giving away free ice cream (while supplies last) on the final day of the donation drive, Friday, June 30, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sulphur Branch on Maplewood Drive to encourage more donations.
