Bobbie  Love

Bobbie Love, 81, went to be with the Lord peacefully on June 1, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 12, 1941, in Beauregard Parish, La. to Marjorie LaPorte and Robert Noble Miers.

Bobbie graduated from Lafayette High School in Louisiana and attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La., majoring in Special Education. Bobbie owned an insurance agency, which she ran alongside her husband John’s appraisal business (The Love and Love Agency). She was also active in many civic and education projects throughout her life. Bobbie was appointed to the Louisiana State Health Coordinating Council by Governor Dave Treen serving a four-year term. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Westlake, La for many years before she and John retired to Kerrville, Texas.

Bobbie and John lived in Kerrville for over 27 years and made a beautiful life there. She enjoyed her weekly Bible study group and friends. They loved antiquing and exploring back roads in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. Bobbie and John moved to Albuquerque, N.M. in 2022.

Bobbie considered her greatest accomplishment in life to be her family, especially having married the love of her life John Mack Love on Oct. 1, 1959. Bobbie and John then had three children, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband John of 64 years; her children, John “MACK” Love Jr., and his wife Anita of Lake Charles, La., Julie Love Pond and her husband Frank of Albuquerque, N.M. and Joy Love Minarsich and her husband Larry of Albuquerque, N.M. Her grandchildren; Kristen Love, Jonathon Deaton and his wife Rachael, Justin Hancock and his wife Jamie, and Jesse Hancock, along with her great grandchildren; Jaron Deaton, Kaydence Hancock Minarsich, Levi Hancock, Ava Constable, Charlotte Hancock, and Lucas Hancock. She is also survived by her sister Gwendolyn Phillips of Rockwall, Texas and her brother John Robert Miers and his wife Judy of McKinny, Texas.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Marjorie LaPorte Miers and Robert Noble Miers and her grandson Bryan Chandler Love.

Private Interment will be at Prien Memorial Cemetery.
