BREAKING: Fire reported at Port of Lake Charles

The Lake Charles Fire Department is containing a fire at the Port of Lake Charles that broke out at the city docks near Contraband Bayou.
There are no reported injuries and no known current safety risks to people in the area, according to Jon Ringo, the port’s general counsel.
Five LCFD vehicles are at the scene now in addition to Lake Charles Police, Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office and Port Police units.

The source of the fire is not yet known, Ringo said.
